Restaurant Review: Christmas Lunch at Crompton’s at the Olive Branch
Thinking about visting Crompton’s in Horsham for Christmas lunch or dinner? Take a look at this review to help you decide.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the bar lady who showed us to our table in the conservatory. Nice little tabled tucked away in the corner with a nice view of the rest of the room. There was a large Christmas work lunch taking place in the centre, with all wearing Christmas hats which was very festive and colourful!…
The food
There was a set Christmas lunch/dinner menu. 5/6 options to start, main and 3/4 options for dessert.
To Start
I went for the Salmon Roulade which came with salad and a crispy bread stick. The salmon was very nice as was the crispy bread stick…
The Mains
The menu consisted of the usual Christmas dinners, Turkey, Pork, Beef… and also a Oak Smoked Nut Roast vegetarian option which I decided to go for (I’m not a vegetarian but fancied something a bit different). I really enjoyed this, although I wish it was slightly hotter in temperature…
My friend went for the beef, which I tried and I must say, it was really tasty:
My other friend went for the turkey, which had stuffing in the middle. This was nice but not as nice as the beef or vegetarian option. However it did come with a pig in blanket…
No desserts were had unfortunately, ran out of time!
Summary
Overall, I would rate this Christmas lunch 9/10. Reasons being; food was good, but could have been slightly hotter.
