Are you ready to rock in the park?

Horsham has a vibrant music scene, which we’ve previously spoken about on this blog. However, what the town has been lacking is a major music festival – until now. In less than three weeks’ time, big-name bands like The Feeling will take to the stage along with local acts at Rockin The Park Horsham.

Ten years ago, music-lovers could get their festival fix from Fanfare In The Park, a large scale event that was held every year. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been staged since 2002. Between then and now, the local music scene has been ticking along with intimate pub gigs and events in the town centre and the park.

With these small performances attracting big audiences, Rockin The Park organisers Matt Andrews and Rachael Dickie decided Horsham needed a big event back on its social calendar. As you’d expect from a festival, the line-up is an electric mix of rock, pop, choirs and orchestras so there will definitely be something for everyone. Food, refreshments and fun activities will also be available over the weekend.

Famous names on the line-up include The Feeling and Misha B on Saturday and The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the Military Wives Choir on Sunday. Rockin The Park is also a fantastic opportunity for unsigned artists in the South to showcase their talent. On both days, bands, choirs and orchestras from the local area will perform in front of the audience at Horsham Cricket Club.

Want to go? Tickets are fantastic value at just £15 per person, per day. Purchase them from Horsham Sports & Cricket Club, The Capitol Theatre and Coco’s Style in Southwater.
