What’s going on in Horsham this Spring?
Morris Dancing and Medieval Market – Saturday 10th May
Morris Dancing is a tradition dating back hundreds of years and on Sunday 10th May, visitors to Horsham will be treated to a fun-packed day of dance and a medieval market in Horsham’s Carfax. The Broadwood Morris Day of Dance will see The Broadwood Morris Men, formed in 1972, take to the streets of Horsham to entertain and delight visitors with their traditional dances. The Medieval Market offers visitors the chance to sample the delights of local traditional produce including meats, fish, breads and honey. The event starts at 10am and runs throughout the day until 4.30pm.
Open Air Cinema Evenings – South Lodge Hotel
Fancy a romantic evening al fresco? The five star South Lodge Hotel, in Lower Beeding is launching an exciting program of open air cinema events throughout the summer. Relax and enjoy a three course meal on the Camellia Restaurant terrace, then sit back and enjoy the movie! The first screening begins on Sunday 11th May, with Life of Pi. Horsham Museum and Art Gallery – Claire Phillips Exhibition
Clair Phillips is a fantastic local artist from Partridge Green, her paintings generally have a social or political narrative. She is currently exhibiting at Horsham Museum until July 5th 2014. Claire’s work features portraits of victims of child labour in India, inspired by her work with the Indian charity Save the Children Movement.
