Sussex Artist Exhibition & Sale in August
This August, the Association of Sussex Artists will be hosting an exhibition and sale of various items of art created by local professional and amateur artists, showcasing their creative passion. From pottery to paintings and beautiful sculptures, there will be many different pieces for you to see and potentially buy!
Who are the Association of Sussex Artists?
Dating back to 1928, the Association of Sussex Artists showcase the very best of local works and have become known as an important feature in our County’s culture. Constantly evolving, they’re always looking for new ideas and supporters, something which their annual exhibition certainly helps to achieve. Having run exhibitions since before WW2, the Association has an eye for great art.
What’s on offer?
Attracting artists from around the community to exhibit, Horsham is displaying 400 works for sale, which they’ve striven to be affordable and exciting in a range of styles and media. If you’re not limited to paintings, you’ll find sculptures, pottery and woodcarvings in their collection for you to browse. All works exhibited will be available for sale to the public so you could end up going home with a new gem from a local artist, perhaps depicting a piece of local scenery.
When and where?
This year’s exhibition will take place from the 19th to 27th of August at Drill Hall, Denne Road, RH12 1JF in Horsham. Open from 10.30am until 5pm for nine days in total, make sure you pop along and get inspired. You never know, you might just fall in love with a piece of art and the best part is… it’s free to attend!
