We have found a few things for you and your family to get up to over the festive period in the local area.

Festive Walk

This year’s Christmas Eve walk starts at 10.30am at the bandstand in the Carfax, Horsham, RH12 E1B. This will be a 1 mile, 1 hour flat walk, except the slight inclines under Albion Way, entirely on hard-surfaced paths. This walk is very suitable for the elderly and there will be a coffee break in the Conservatory Cafe. If you’d like to get involved call Doreen on 01403 230293.

Wey & Arun Canal Boat Trip

There are festive special 45 minute trips at 11am, 12pm and 2pm on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. An adult ticket costs £5 and a child ticket is £2.50. Your ticket includes mulled wine, juice and minced pies. For further information take a look at their website. This event is usually a sell out, so call 01403 752403 to secure your place.

A tree is for Christmas, not for life

Your tree may look pretty now but before long the branches will turn brown and you’ll be left with a sad scattering of needles. Horsham Tree Collectors are offering a handy service – they will collect your tree for disposal for just £7 (cash on collection) on January 6th, 7th and 8th between 5-8:30pm. To book your collection visit www.treecollection.co.uk **they will collect two trees from the same location for £10.
