If you’re familiar with the town of Horsham you will already know how beautiful the surrounding countryside is. There are quite a few golf courses in the local area, taking advantage of the stunning natural landscapes around the town. We’ve narrowed down our top three and have created a profile of each. All golf clubs featured are open to both members and visitors throughout the year.
Horsham Golf and Fitness
Horsham Golf and Fitness is an extremely popular golfing destination in the region, with easy access off the A24. Whether you wish to enjoy a full 18 hole round on the Oaks Course, or a quick 9 around the Firs Course, which is ideal for beginners and families. Their facilities also include a floodlit driving range with a team of dedicated coaches from MY Golf Academy.

Mannings Heath Golf and Fitness Club
Mannings Heath is a luxurious golfing club with a neighbouring wine estate situated in Mannings Heath village. They boast a championship 18 hole Waterfall course and a 9 hole Kingfisher course. Whichever you decide to play, you’ll be stunned by the natural beauty of the English Countryside both courses are in.
You can also enjoy a stroll around their vineyard or partake in some wine tasting after you’ve played your course. Their breathtaking 200-hectare maritime Estate produces unique cool climate wines; the estate has 70 hectares of vineyards and 10 hectares of Olive Trees.

The Waterfall Course
The 18 hole waterfall course is set to be the jewel in the crown of Sussex Golf. Influenced by Harry Colt, this beautifully designed course really does stand out from the crowd. This is an exciting yet challenging course, which can test even the most experienced players.
The Kingfisher Course
The 9 hole Kingfisher Course is also set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Boasting USGA specification greens and tees, the course provides an enjoyable mix of par 3, 4 and 5, for golfers of all abilities. The quirky and fun design of this course provides a really enjoyable mix for the player, and can be completed within 2 hours.
Slinfold Golf Club
The golf course at Slinfold Golf & Country Club is set in 165 acres of land comprising a mix of woodland and mature parkland. This gives golf members and visitors a thoroughly enjoyable game in the stunning Sussex countryside.
With wide open fairways, and a combination of long and short holes, both novice and experienced golfers are sure to have a great time. It benefits from topography, making it an easy walk and manageable without the necessity for a golf buggy. It’s also designed in 2 loops of 9 holes if a shorter game is preferred.
The club lounge and bar is set overlooking the 10th tee and 18th green, the terrace area and patio are great vantage points to watch fellow golfers play.
